Deep Rivers' program has been carefully designed to unite struggling families and equip them for long-term positive relationships that restore the joy of being family. If the turmoil of lives can be reshaped to positive and productive directions, that same family—and especially its younger members—can anticipate a future of growing in God's love and even serving Him in church, community, and society.

Deep Rivers Ranch is holding sessions in Glade Park, CO

Partial Scholarships are available. Please contact us to learn more about this opportunity.

We start each family out with a pre-arrival assessment so we can customize each session to their unique difficulties and life circumstances. For example, within the rural ranch setting of Deep Rivers Family Ranch we will teach some parenting skills as well as practicing parenting as a team. While surrounded by the beauty of God's creation we will use our horses to further teach relationship skills to all the family members. The Deep Rivers experience will provide opportunity to practice your relationship skills with immediate feedback that families need and desire. Throughout the week professional staff will help each family analyze what is working in their family and what is not working in their family. Next, families will develop a full understanding of what makes each other function. Throughout the week families will be challenged to be honest with each other, forgive each other and build a future with each other serving our redeeming God. Meanwhile we give your family time to interact, play, process and rejuvenate.

In recent years, a practice called Equine Co-facilitated Psychotherapy (equine therapy) has emerged and found favor within the professional community. Our horses here at Deep Rivers Family Ranch are very special "helpers". In many ways they are our best (teachers)(therapists).

Finally, we want you to know that while your time at the ranch will be in a retreat setting, this will be a working vacation. As the popular saying goes: "Anything worthwhile is worth working on".

The "program" that forms the core of the Deep Rivers Family Ranch experience is the result of 13 years of preparation by way of practice as a licensed marriage and family therapist and equine manager at the renowned Aspen Ranch. We have weaved together the best elements of family- intensive therapy that has proved most effective in reuniting families around principles that will guide their future relationships.

As a result of this experience, listening to families and colleagues—and listening to the Lord build the vision for the Ranch—we are realizing the dream of building a program around a Christian world view with biblical principles. Our underlying theme for the Ranch's program reflects its cornerstone verse: "...Putting God's Word into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock." Matthew 7:24
